Ring Size Guide
How to find your ring size
A ring should feel secure without being tight. Measure the inside of a ring you already own or measure your finger, then use the chart below to find your perfect size.
How to measure your ring size
There are two easy ways to find your size at home. Measure the diameter of a ring that already fits well, or measure the circumference of your finger. Then find the matching size in the chart.

How to measure
1Measure an existing ring (diameter)
The most accurate way to find your size is to measure a ring that already fits the finger you plan to wear it on.
- Choose a ring that fits comfortably on the intended finger.
- Place it on a flat surface and lay a ruler across the center.
- Measure the inside of the ring from edge to edge, across its widest point, in millimeters. Don't include the metal band.
- Find the closest measurement in the Diameter column of the chart.
2Measure your finger (circumference)
No ring to measure? A piece of string or a thin strip of paper works perfectly.
- Wrap the string or paper snugly around the base of your finger.
- Mark the point where the ends meet with a pen.
- Lay it flat and measure from the end to your mark in millimeters.
- Find the closest measurement in the Circumference column of the chart.
Make sure the string can still slide over your knuckle. If your knuckle is larger than the base of your finger, measure both and choose a size in between.
Ring sizing tips
- Measure the right finger. Fingers on your dominant hand are often slightly larger. If the ring may be worn on different fingers, size for the largest one. A good fit stays on securely but still slides over your knuckle.
- Measure more than once. Fingers change size throughout the day with temperature, activity and hydration, and they're smallest in the morning and in the cold. Measure a few times at different times of day, ideally when your hands are warm.
- Between sizes? Go up. A slightly loose ring is more comfortable, and safer, than one that's too tight. If you're between two sizes, choose the larger one.
- Stacking rings. When wearing several rings together, consider going up a half size so the stack sits comfortably.
- Wide bands fit snugger. Rings with a wide band (about 6 mm or more) cover more of the finger and feel tighter. We recommend going up a half to a full size.
Finding someone else's ring size
Planning a surprise, like an engagement? Here are a few discreet ways to find their size without giving it away.
- Borrow a ring. Slip one of their rings from their jewelry box, ideally one worn on the same finger. Measure its inside diameter with a ruler and match it to the chart, then put it back before it's missed.
- Use a piece of string. If you can manage it while they're asleep, gently wrap a piece of string around the base of their finger and mark where it meets. Measure it and use the Circumference column.
- Ask friends or family. A close friend or relative may already know their size, or can casually have them try on a ring and report back.
Still not sure? Choose your best estimate. Most of our rings can be resized after purchase.
